Yves Verheyden
Yves was born at riding school “Groenestein” in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Literally born between horses, he started his many years of horse experience with a blast.
From the age of 16 up to 40, he has operated for one of the best equestrian footing companies. In those 24 years, Yves gained a lot of valuable experience; he was present at European Championships, World Championships and other International Equestrian events all over the world. Yves has a lot of contacts in the equestrian sports world and a wealth of experience in footings.
In 2013, Yves started his own company “Verheyden Rentals and Maintenance”. From that point, other companies started hiring him to level and maintain footings, and to build and upholster stands at shows; both national as international.
6 years later, in 2019, Yves decided to take it to a next level and focus on the one thing he really loves: footings. Together with Jesper Romp he started a new company: Verheyden & Romp Equestrian Footings B.V!
Jesper Romp
Jesper started his pony career when he was 7 years old. Because of his willingnes and elegant way of riding, he became very successful at a young age. At the age of 15, he competed in his first European Championship with Van Schijndels Kris in Jardy (Fr) and won the silver team medal. After this, Jesper went to the Schröder brothers (BWG stables) in Tubbergen, to gain more International experience. He got good guidance and had a very successful time there!
In 2016, Jesper joined his brother Ruben at the Margeretha Hoeve and was trained there by his father Bert. In 2017, Jesper started his own company (Jesper Romp Services) to ride young horses at home.
These days, Jesper is fully committed to the construction and maintenance of equestrian footings. Because of his experience as a professional rider, Jesper knows how important a good footing is. Together with Yves Verheyden, he runs V&R Equestrian Footings BV!
